If you have just started using the guitar you might be wondering what type of guitar should you use - electric, acoustic or bass? The answer depends on what your personality is, your mood, the kind of music you prefer.
Every amateur has some bafflement in selecting the best guitar they could posses. Now I am going to share a few tips on picking a good guitar that will suit you. Think what music do you like. This is very important because doing what you like can really help you improve. When you hear the strumming of a guitar, do you consider yourself listening to the lighter side of things or more on the hard core part? The music that you listen to is the basis of your choosing.
Another thing to consider is the price. The price depends on the quality of the material and what type of material is being used. In the beginning it's best to start with an acoustic guitar because it is the basis on which we develop our technique.
Still, if you can't chose between a couple of great selections, have a friend who is skilled at playing the guitar to go with you and let him chose which one would be more suitable. Don't get isolated in your decisions.
Choose between acoustic or electrical. There are two sides when chosing which is which. The pros and the cons are often weighed. Compared to an acoustic guitar, an electrical guitar is simpler to operate but is more convoluted with all those strings attached and buttons to push. Once you play an electric guitar, you want to buy other equipments like an amplifier, cable and pick.
The sole disadvantage with an acoustic guitar is that it is harder to manipulate than that of the electric guitar. Apart from that, it is the most advisable type of guitar to play with. No picks needed. You can play with it just by strumming the top of your fingers on its strings. And, its cheaper than an electrical guitar.
